Prelude
We Americans (and for that matter, all citizens of the world) have had a bumpy ride since Convicted Felon Trump (CFT) decided to run for office and divide our nation.
Many of us can see right through the guy. Unfortunately, millions of people ingest his lies as facts, even when you put the facts right in front of their faces.
Still, the team of Biden and Harris prevailed over the past four years to make some progressive strides for all of us.
During the pandemic (which many CFT supporters seem to have forgotten about), our video production business came to a standstill. All the gigs we had lined up on our calendar went poof. If not for the grants provided by our government under the management of the Biden administration, we would not have been able to weather that “perfect storm” of economic freefall.
Enter Kamala
Mark and I met Kamala in San Diego when she was running for Senator. At the time, listening to her, I thought, “This brilliant and passionate woman could be President of the United States.”
It gave me the chills.
Is the Nation “Ready” for a Woman as President?
Better get ready because look at the alternative. A convicted felon who is a rampant misogynist racist and horrible husband and father. An adjudicated rapist. Worst of the worst imho.
And wouldn’t it be lovely to have two women at the helm? Think of a Kamala Harris/ Gretchen Whitmer ticket. We can hope, right? They both have the attitude of service to their nation as opposed to a money-drunk dude who used his power to bludgeon people and as his personal fundraising operation. I don’t understand why he wasn’t taken away in handcuffs on the morning of January 7th, 2021. Why he isn’t in a prison cell right now. Perhaps with a former Prosecutor and Attorney General in office, we can make that happen.
Grateful for What Joe Did
I was admittedly doubtful about Joe Biden when he ran against CFT in 2020, because when he was a Senator, he’d voted to allow Clarence Thomas on the Supreme Court, even after Anita Hill’s testimony.
When Anita said she forgave him for that, I was more open-minded about Joe Biden.
Wouldn’t it be a lovely act for him to make an executive order kicking Thomas off the bench in the last few months of Joe’s presidency? I don’t know if that is a possibility. But wouldn’t it be fitting?
Let’s Roll Up Our Sleeves
This is an unprecedented time for all of us. But we cannot be complacent now. We need to all roll up our sleeves and do everything in our power to make sure CFD never sets foot in the White House again.
